Universiteit van Amsterdam | Creating an innovating brand experience for Makerspace

The Client

The UvA Makerspace is a workspace within the University of Amsterdam that provides students with the necessary equipment and facilities to design, build and test digital models, advanced design processes and tangible prototypes.

This ensures that students can directly put their acquired academic knowledge into practice, in which project-driven education according to Design Thinking methods encourages individual initiative.

The assignment

Starting off with a strategy session, we’ve learned about the mission and vision of the Uva Makerspace. Together we defined their Brand Identity and determined their new identity should reflect: advanced prototyping, clean, young, innovative and academic technology.

We’ve created a brand identity, including the Makerspace logo, brand elements and offline print work that still matches the overall UvA brand identity.
