The challenge: building an LMS that works for everyone

Physiotutors, a leading provider of physiotherapy courses, had outgrown their existing LMS. The system was not user-friendly—neither on desktop nor mobile—and lacked essential functionality. For instance, users couldn’t easily track their progress or view their accreditation points. Moreover, there was no straightforward way for practice owners to assign courses to their team members.

In short, the LMS no longer met the expectations of Physiotutors or their customers. A complete overhaul was needed to deliver a user-friendly, future-ready system that would elevate the overall experience.

Collaborating towards a better solution

The best solutions come from great collaboration. From the outset, we worked closely with the Physiotutors team. Through biweekly meetings, we continuously aligned with their team and our developers. Our approach: from structure to experience

When designing the new LMS, we looked beyond features alone. We focused on the system’s structure, user flow, and user experience (UX). To optimize these elements, we created wireframes of the key screens. These sketches allowed us to design clear and logical navigation and user journeys before diving into development.

Creating the course page

We took things a step further with the course page by developing an interactive prototype. This allowed us to test whether the layout and functionality were clear and intuitive. The insights gained from this process enabled us to make meaningful improvements before the page went live.

A shopping cart that converts

One of the first improvements we tackled was optimizing the shopping cart. We introduced a bundle discount feature, where users could instantly see how much extra they would save when purchasing multiple courses. This enhancement made the shopping experience more appealing for both individual users and practice owners.

Managing courses with ease

In addition, we designed a completely new system for managing courses. Users can now easily see which courses they’ve purchased, track their progress, and view their accreditation points. For practice owners, we built a tool to assign courses to team members, making the LMS not only user-friendly but also highly valuable for all parties involved.
